damfest's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- sleeping on borrowed time I remember falling asleep well enough last night but I didn't sleep very heavily. I kept waking up during the night, once convinced I was going to be late for work (why I thought that I don't know) but relieved when I checked the time and found it to be only 2:30 a.m. I must have finally gotten into that deep restful sleep right around the time my alarm usually goes off, because I didn't wake up until the second alarm on my cell phone chimes in at 6:30 -- the latest I can get dressed and fly out the door in order to be at work on time. Rats. A light snow fell all day long. It only added a couple inches to the roads by the time I left work after another 10-hour day, and kept falling through the afternoon and early evening. After returning from the gym I shoveled a path from the parking lot entrance down the driveway to my front door. A quick peek outside tonight revealed the path was already filling in with new snow. I still don't think we're going to get anywhere near the 8-10 inches that has been forecasted for the 48-hour period. 11:59 p.m. - 2010-02-08 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
